Q > What is Faux painting?

A > Faux Finishing – It’s a painting technique, which simulates the look of texture, tiles, suede, wood, leather, brick, bamboo, marble or aged stucco, etc.

Painting - I also do straight painting with solid colors.

Q >Can I help select colors?

A > Absolutely. We can select colors and techniques to suit your individual style or if you are selling your home or renting it, you can go with more basic or neutral colors to transform your surroundings.

Q > How do you charge for your work?

A >Depends on desired painting technique/size of room etc. After I am familiar with your needs, I will let you know the cost upfront before work begins.

Q > What does color do for a room?

A >It can make a room look smaller or larger...warm and cozy...welcoming...energized...calming...it can bring a tall ceiling down or a short ceiling up. Color can give a bright outlook to an old space! A wall without color is like a woman without makeup!

Q >Do you provide free estimates?

A >Yes, please call me or email me and let me know about your needs.  If you simply desire to brighten up your walls with a new fresh coat of paint, there is no cost for an estimate.  Depending upon your needs I may be able to assist over the phone or need to visit site.

Q >I would like to repaint my kitchen and living room, but I'd like some assistance with paint colors and possible painting different walls various colors to make the room feel larger or with more character.  Do you provide design consultations?

A >Yes, absolutely.  I can assist you with color selections and painting technique options.  We will consider your furniture, carpeting, current decorations and painting or wall hangings to help us select the right colors.  The difference between a free estimate and a design consultation is that I allow a couple hours at your home or business for the consultation so that we can really focus on considering the final look and feel.  While a coat of fresh white paint will clean up a room, you can do so much more with proper color(s).  The consultation fee is $45 and will be applied to any project of $500 or more. Call me for a consultation and we can begin to give your business or home a fresh, distinctive, innovative appearance.

Q >I watch home shows on TV and have heard the word "staging" used allot.  What is staging?

A >Staging is the proper and balanced placement of all things in a particular room, including furniture, area rugs, tables, lamps, chairs, wall hangings, plants, etc so that all work together to create a comfortable and overall good feeling when you are in the room.  I assist each person or family I work with to create individually appreciable spaces.  This could be a whimsical bedroom for child, to a masculine or feminine feeling library, office or bedroom.  To keep couples happy, I can assist in creating neutral designed rooms. 

Q >I am selling my home.  Can you help me paint and or decorate it to increase the value or help it sell faster?

A >Yes, this can be achieved through neutral design and proper staging.  Often we can use your own furniture and decorations.  Respacing is what I call it.  Idea is to make the rooms feel more spacious and so that the prospective buyer can see themselves in your home so that they purchase it.  Well staged homes with neutral colors sell faster and for more money, normally well more than what my fees are.  Please contact me and I will be happy to discuss these services with you.
